A Call for Prayer for the Nation-Day Four
The two presidential candidates just begun the final "debate." I am watching the Sci Fi Channel, while praying to God, to not deliver us into the hands of the wrong man.
Real life is fast resembling reel life, so I am losing myself in the "reality" of giant monsters terrorizing a town or two. The monsters terrorizing us in real life, look eerily human, and scare me more. I can spot that fake blood on television, and see ketchup. I also know that usually the movie or show ends with a score of humans 1, and monsters 0. It is not so certain how this real show will end. Will it be "we the people" with a big fat zero, and politicians game, set, match?
So, I keep praying. The appropriate passages of Scripture keep presenting themselves. Here goes:

Proverbs 4:18
18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
Psalm 27:1-3
1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
Yes, as a nation, we have to believe that although we have disrespected and dishonored God, He will be merciful and gracious towards us. He allowed this country to be founded on religious, moral and ethical grounds. We have descended into a pit of deviancy. Hopefully, He will reach down into that pit and pull us out.
