A Call for Prayer for this Nation-Day Five
The rumors, innuendos, jokes, and all of the other usual requisites of an election cycle, are flying across the land like a giant spider web encircling intended victims and innocents alike. Not to be outdone, the Internet savvy have turned into Sherlock Holmes wannabes and are frantically pushing those "reply" and "forward" buttons as they scurry to hunt down and circulate the latest "must have" articles.
In the midst of all of this, I am fiercely determined to continue with my "prayer-a-thon," albeit a mini one. So once again, I pause to ask Almighty God to have mercy upon us and not to give us our "just desserts."
At first, my thoughts turned to the following verses of Scripture:
29 The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.
Please continue to pray.

At first, my thoughts turned to the following verses of Scripture:
Psalm 55:6-8
6 And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
7 Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.
8 I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.
I was ready to make like a bird and try to escape, but I am fortified again by the following words of reassurance.

Proverbs 15:29, 33
33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.
