A Call for Prayer for this Nation-Day Twenty Two
I guess in baseball terms, we are in the seventh inning of the "game." Sports cliche aside, we are approaching the really serious part of this loooong drawn out process of electing new leaders. We have been subjected to ads on radio, television, the Internet, on billboards, on kids, on animals, on cars, on foreheads, and T-shirts. We get it....vote for me, me, me, me, me!
Today, I have decided to vote for God. He is going to be on my ballot today, as the Only, the Preeminent, the Almighty, the Real, not a faux Messiah, the Supreme Candidate! This post will be a giant spiritual ad for the Mighty God that we all should serve. Consider me as His "campaign manager," although truthfully, He does not need one. The voters, the voting machines, the pollsters, the ballots, the pens, the pencils, the tables, the booths....they all belong to Him. And the beauty of His "campaign," is that unlike fallible mortal politicians, He does not have to, shall we say, "purchase" votes.
His Son did purchase our souls by being strapped to a cross. Which earthly polician would do that for his constituent? Not one. Each and every one, would be putting forward a constituent whose life should be given in that politician's stead. The politician's admeisters would rush out an ad enunciating why his guy is more valuable than any constitutent, and therefore his life should be spared. Prepare the cross for the constituent.
We humans too often puff our chests out as we proclaim our "greatness." Until we puny creatures are able to hang stars from the sky, bring into existence a romantic moon by night and a workhorse sun by day, I am not convinced. Below, I present evidence of real greatness and majesty. Please read on.

Psalm 93:1
1 The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.
Psalm 95:6-8
6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.
7 For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,
8 Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
7 For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,
8 Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
Psalm 86:9
9 All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.
Psalm 99:9
9 Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.
Psalm 119:105
105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Revelation 4:10-11
10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Revelation 19:10
10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
Psalm 72:18-19
18 Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.
19 And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.
19 And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

If all God's children could get this from their heads to their hearts they would no longer fear anything. You are such a great blessing to all who have been blessed to find you. Joan

Thank you for your kind words and support, Joan! This country is going through various trials and tribulations, at this time. I firmly believe that we are being tested by being put through a refining fire. It is up to us whether we rely on our human wits, remain in the fire and get burned to a crisp, or seek God's guidance to lead us through the fire. I choose the latter option.
