Are Der/Duh Leaders Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?

Let’s get this question out of the way, regarding this writer. No. She is not smarter than a fifth grader – when it comes to Math and Science. But her radar can detect political corruption faster than a fifth grader can figure out if one goes around the world traveling at 25 miles an hour, how long will it take to circle the globe! It does not take long to circle the seeming globe of corruption, the circumstances that bear a distinct aura of corruption.

There is an attempted “transformation,” forced evolution” of the United States of America by a cadre of her native sons, in collusion with non native sons, united in what appears to be their common goal of bringing down this Judeo Christian society. And too many of “we the serfs, people” are complicit in this attempted destruction, by our lack of knowledge of the enemy within. Our innate “goodness” in wishing to believe the best of everyone, and our fear of being called names – are being used against us. I am as guilty as the next person. It has taken me quite some time to believe that there are truly evil folks out there. I have had to move from a position of “trust, until proven guilty,” to President Ronald Reagan’s “trust but verify,” to now “verify, then trust.” Even this last is not fool proof, as “we the people” make it so easy for crooks to operate with impunity. The pattern hardly varies. Our trust is gained. We verify. Then when we relax, we get hit. Time passes. We come back for more.

So that leaves the admonition of President Jefferson: “The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.” I am in ultra vigilance mode. I am
keeping an eye on politicians almost 24/7.

I am not for anarchy. I am not out to take up weapons against any politicians, so no need to label me with the description, “right wing, Christian fanatic, clinging to God and guns,” a description that is being used to deliberately demean those of us who are conservative, Christian, God-fearing, country-loving folks. Yeah, I cling to God, and I am proud of it.  Corrupt politicians can rest easy. They are not worthy of my going against my role as a child of God, for ephemeral satisfaction in exacting vengeance against them. “Vengeance” is God’s province. I will leave in His capable hands.

Be that as it may, I have a distinct aversion to totalitarianism. I am a strict believer in the US system of government. I also believe that God, as is his province, allowed these current leaders to be placed in a position to govern. He did the same for those very wise men back in the 18th century, who crafted an almost flawless Constitution upon which the country, for which they had fought, pledging their lives, liberty, fortunes, and even family, could be governed.

Those who were blessed to inherit leadership positions present day, appear to be clueless about the jewel that they have in hand. How many of them pause a minute between admiring themselves for what they think is political prowess, and acknowledge that they have been given a responsibility to govern according to the tenets of that Constitution and the laws of God? I am afraid not enough of them do. They are so puffed up with admiration of self, that there is no room for the presence of God. Here is a small reminder for them, from the Declaration of Independence:

“WE hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness - That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed….”

My late Mom used to tell me “never bring hamburger to a banquet.” I used to wonder what she meant as the chances of my attending a banquet, at the time, were slim to none. I still have not attended a real banquet of the kind she meant, but I now have a better understanding of the banquet, cheap cut of beef analogy, after watching our esteemed politicians in action. “We the people are being categorized as “hamburger,” and the banquet hall, for which we pay, is closed to us. Too many of the current leaders, to continue with the culinary terms,  do not appreciate that they have a country that is a  fillet mignon. In political terms, this system of government was set up to govern the people, with their consent, with minimal interference in their lives. Then something went wrong.

The formerly self-less prototype of the leader, guided by the now derided 10 Commandments, and steeped in the culture, traditions and laws of his or her country, has seemingly been replaced by a new (un)improved version, steeped in self delusions of grandeur, not caring about his or her country, and even less about his or her fellow citizens. Too many have allowed themselves to be clothed in aspirations of “absolute power,” which has “corrupted (them) absolutely. “ So, here we are today.  The country is tearing apart. The politicians are riding roughshod over the folks who pay for:

▪ Their Secret Service protection
▪ Their fillet mignon
▪ Their arugula
▪ Their entertainment
▪ Their fancy clothes
▪ Their recreation
▪ Their trips
▪ Their deluxe health care protection – (sign up for the plan mandated for the serfs!)

Need I go on? This is a lifestyle that the serfs will never experience. This serf does not want to. What this serf would like to be able to do, is:

▪ To actually place in her wallet more of the gross pay, instead of the net pay looking more like a gross error.

▪ She does not want to be stripping at airports so that her rolls of fat could be mistaken for “weapons of lean body destruction.” You have my money. Leave me with my dignity!

▪ She would like to wake up and not read any more reports about her fellow citizens being slaughtered by invaders who walk across a porous border that her government refuses to protect.

▪ She would like to drive on roads where her poor car is not ducking potholes that are bigger than manholes.

▪ She would like to see her representatives on television and hasten to turn up the sound with pride, instead of rushing to mute the sound or change the channel entirely – in revulsion.

▪ She would dearly love to know that young men and women can learn at the feet of seasoned political leaders, without fear of becoming an item on the menu.

▪ She would love to have the confidence that her leaders will read bills before passing them into law.

▪ She would love her leaders to stop giving the profession of prostitution a bad name, by out prostituting real prostitutes, in the equivalent of smoke-filled backrooms, polluted with million dollar versions of “let’s cut a deal.” There is a far better version with real people who actually work to get on the television program, and work to make a deal on the show “Let’s Make A Deal.”

▪ She is thinking that part time legislator gig is a good thing.  Get a real job.

▪ She is thinking that “government service” should be preceded by a job in the real world, before convincing oneself that “government service” is the “career” choice.

▪ Cutting out the perks, privileges and pork would be great, which means placing “earmarks” on the “endangered species” list, and not working to resurrect or preserve.

▪ “Bondage-themed park visits” should be verboten.

▪ There should be installed in every office, including the Oval Office, a cuckoo clock that sings out “in service to the people” hourly, as a chiming reminder of the job at hand.

I could continue with my laundry list of desires but I would like to share the first person experience and perspective of two Russian émigrés. They have “been there, done that.” We need to listen. Jake is an e-mail friend who has been warning his e-mail circle seemingly forever.

Maybe now I have your attention.  My purpose in writing about this is to get some of you to really wake up and see what is happening to this nation.  Many of you are shocked, many of you are incredulous about how this has come to pass and why.

So, how did we get here?  Hopefully I can give you all some insight to what others from the old Soviet Union have said as well as some tidbits that I have said.

We have without doubt the greatest form of government the world has ever seen.  There never has been a country like us with a constitution like ours.  Since its inception, this country, contrary to what so many keep claiming, has made God a central figure in all things concerning this nation.

As this nation grew and grew to become the strongest nation on earth, the detractors came at us from every side and each battle that this nation fought and our men and women died for this country we became stronger.

So, we allowed political correctness to take a foothold on our lives and in society.  Marxist dogma never blames the individual unless that individual stands against the state, but that all depends on what the agenda is today.

So, today we are at a crossroads, we are being attacked on every side and what is troubling is that the attacks are not coming from average criminals, if that were the case, Americans would have put that down in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately, we Americans must now shoulder some of the blame because we did not stand up against the perverts who continued to chip away at our social morality.

Personally, I would rather die free than to go back to what I thought was a bad dream so long ago.

I am taking her advice:

“And because of Reagan policies of a strong America, the oppressive socialist Soviet empire collapsed. Ask citizens from countries freed from Soviet domination what they think about the Reagan era. Ask Germans, Czechs, Poles, Hungarians, Romanians, Estonians, Latvians, Lithuanians, Georgians.”

Maybe when we have been “totaled,” the people of these nations can light candles for us to find our way out of the wilderness of totalitarianism.

Even if we do not want to listen to these US citizens from other countries, maybe we would be willing to listen to our First President:

"Government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is force! Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master."

We are entering the “fearful master” stage. Maybe it is time to call on another Father to preserve us, if He can forgive our many transgressions against Him. It could not hurt.

So, are Der/Duh leaders smarter than a fifth grader? Speaking in purely educational terms, Der/Duh leaders are probably more schooled, than any fifth grader. In terms of honesty, decency, morality and incorruptibility, I am with the Fifth graders. They would win that contest hands down.
